All American Propane West, LLC was established in 2007 by Mark and Debbie Gerdts, both of whom were raised in Thurston County. Mark's involvement in the propane industry can be traced back to his father's ownership and operation of C&D Propane from 1973 to 1997. During his upbringing, Mark gained valuable experience working at C&D.
Following his four-year service in the Army, Mark pursued higher education at Saint Martin's College, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. However, Mark's dissatisfaction with the accounting field prompted him to return to his passion for propane.
The name "All American Propane" holds significant meaning to Mark as it pays homage to his service in the renowned 82nd Airborne Division, known as the All American Division. Inspired by his time with this division, Mark decided to honor their legacy by naming his propane company accordingly.
